Group projects in LaG = THE WORST THING EVER
I praise the Laguardia’s students who participated in the opera “Life of a Party”. It’s not easy having blackout two days in a row, missing your classwork and most of your weekend to practice from 8 A.M to 8 P.M. Now when the opera is finally over you have to catch up with your academics. I feel that a lot people have a misconception about LaGuardia. Not only do we practice the arts we are vigorously academic. Just because we are an art school does not mean it is easy. It is actually one of the hardest things I have chosen to do. I wake up at 6:05 A.M every morning and some other students wake up at 5. I get home around 5, do homework and get my maximum of 6 hours of sleep. It’s even harder for the students who have to practice for school plays or operas or even a showcases or the students who take private lessons after school. LaGuardia took away everyone’s social life and sleep, but at the end of your 4th or 3rd year be LaG it’s going to be worth it when you walk across the stage at Alice Tully Hall to get your high school and your studio diploma.
